The Troubled Seascape

seascape along Pt. Loma, San Diego

I'm unsure about this seascape.  Busy isn't it.  What attracted me was the stalks of what I believe are Century plants atop the cliff.  Then there are all those deep cliffside crenulations that give such a heavy texture; and THEN there's the foamy action of the waves hitting the coast!  What a smorgasbord of imagery to contemplate. Which is also the problem with the image.  Too much to contemplate, too much...stuff.  My eye has nowhere to settle.  That may work for some but for me it's disquieting.  I've seen images where experts go on and on about how the image has so much to offer (typically a busy street scene) and how you can look at any segment of the picture and find something to your liking.  Maybe that's what I've capture here.  Or, perhaps I've captured a mess, a cacophony lights and darks with no center. Hmm, maybe that's what I should have added, a forced center using Darken/Lighten Center in Color Effects Pro.  That way I could tell you what you should be looking at rather than having your eyes wander aimlessly like a stray dog looking for a meal.  I'm afraid you'll have to find your own way around though, 'cause I'm a poor tour guide.  Don't get lost.
