Salton Sea Survival, indeed. Whatever happened to that tree hasn't stopped it, at least not yet. And it's fascinating how the quote is reflective of what the photo does to the viewer, or at least to this viewer. How I start by pondering what happened to tree and how marvelous it keeps growing. Then I notice how the foreground turns into the background and I just sit and quietly watch, not really pondering much anymore, almost meditating on the quiet expanse around and behind the tree.
That quote is right on for me.
